Signs you need a drain survey
If there is a foul odour in your home, you have a blocked sink, or the dishwasher or washing machine is flooding, you should have a drain survey to assess the problem.
You should also have a drain camera survey if you are a new home buyer or a vendor to ensure there are no problems with your drainage system that could crop up in the future, like a faulty or leaky drain.
Landlords should have a drain inspection before a new tenancy, too, to ensure drains, pipes and sewers are in optimal condition. Or, if you’re building an extension, you will need to provide your local water authority with information such as the location and condition of drainage in the area, all of which a CCTV drain inspection can give you.
