Why is mercury still used in electrical items?
Mercury has a range of properties that make it very useful. Due to its indestructible nature, we have relied on it for centuries to expand our technology further. We recycle mercury repeatedly to reuse its properties, from medicine to industrial production due to its indestructible state.
The electrical conductivity of mercury makes it a great component in electrical items like switches, relays, and fluorescent lightbulbs. Despite its dangers, it is still sometimes utilised. It was also recently discovered in some baby food products alongside arsenic and cadmium.

How severe can mercury exposure be?
There are a few factors that play a role in the severity when it comes to mercury exposure. Individuals exposed to mercury may have different reactions depending on their age and the state of their health already. The factors that determine the severity of symptoms will include:
