The Challenge
During the global pandemic, restaurants - such as Nando’s - suffered long periods of closure. Without its customers, the company was able to focus on keeping its restaurants and offices clean until the reopening date.
We were contacted by Nando’s to deal with a rapid, cost-effective solution in fifteen of their branch restaurants and their head office, to defeat the risk of virus and bacteria in the workplace.
The staff in the restaurants are a major asset to the company’s service. If Nando’s staff fall ill from being exposed to viruses and bacteria, it will be difficult for the restaurants to run. Nando's head office are the key operations to running all restaurants across the country; they required a decontamination to prevent health problems to their staff.
The Solution
With access to the latest industry-leading equipment, we knew our technicians would be able to help Nando’s reduce the threat of viruses and bacteria in their workplace.
We decided that the best option would be to use our industry-leading solution, ICE SHIELD™, to decontaminate all touchpoints within the restaurants, in turn eradicating 99.9% of viruses and bacteria.
Our technicians used non-harmful solutions to prevent any harm to our customers, surrounding areas and took into consideration the wellbeing of all parties involved. The safety of our technicians, our clients and the wider public must remain focused during the decontamination cleaning process.
Several steps are taken to avoid potential hazards arising during the process. Our technicians carry out a comprehensive risk assessment before beginning the work and always wear personal protective equipment (PPE).
Our technicians are trained and educated in decontamination, virus and bacteria cleaning, which is an advantage, as our customers will receive a high quality, fast and reliable cleaning service.

Being Nando’s emergency call out contractor, we have shown dedication and hard work to the South African food chain and built a long-lasting relationship with them.
We can provide the company with the peace of mind that their sites have been decontaminated and there is no threat to their staff and customers’ health.
