Mice Control FAQs

The basics

Can I deal with mice myself?

You must not deal with a mice problem yourself because of the risk of disease and the damage they can cause to your home.

A mice technician will have a vast knowledge of mice, and know how to prevent them from returning.

Can mice affect your health?

Yes. Similar to rats, they can carry many diseases, such as Salmonella. Humans can come into contact with these diseases through mice nests, food and surfaces.

For this reason, mice infestations must be taken seriously.

How do I know if I have a mice problem?

If you spot mice in your home, or their droppings, this could mean you have a mice problem. Additionally, you may notice scratching noises during the night as a result of mice scurrying about.

Due to defecation and urination, you could also encounter an unpleasant odour caused by mice. As soon as you spot a problem, you should contact a mice control specialist.

What is the lifespan of mice?

Mice tend to have a lifespan of between 12-18 months. Mice who have access to food and shelter will tend to have a bigger lifespan compared to their counterparts living in their natural habitats.

What technologies will be used?

In an emergency situation, we can arrive at your property in 60 minutes

According to the CDC, rodents can carry over 35 diseases. For this reason alone, you should call in the professionals if you notice a mice infestation in your property.

The Woodland Trust has also written a useful guide on how to identify different types of mice which may help you to determine what type of mouse is causing you pest problems.

This shows how common mice issues are here in the UK, and why you should deal with them immediately to prevent further issues.

What does our mice removal process involve?

When our teams first arrive on site, they will perform a risk assessment to establish what dangers or hazards are present. In the case of mice, this could include droppings and urine, which have the potential to spread diseases.

From this assessment, our technicians will seek to remove the mice infestation and create a safe environment for you to occupy once more.

Our technicians will be able to determine what equipment they need to use from this initial risk assessment. This allows them to come to your property for the job fully equipped with everything they need, and make the process as smooth as possible for everyone involved.
