When you contact us, we will ask you to send us images and videos of the fire damage to your property. This allows our staff to provide you with a free, no-obligation quotation and communicate the information to our professionals. We'll walk you through the stages of restoring your property, and one of our professionals will visit to assess the state of the property.

After assessing the damage, our cleaners will immediately begin the restoration process. When we finish, we dispose of all waste safely and responsibly offsite. To properly sanitise the afflicted area, our team use industrial-grade cleaning machinery and odour-neutralising technologies. Fire safety for the workplace

Health and safety at work are integral whilst maintaining a productive and safe environment for your employees. Fire safety is a large part of health and safety, requiring as much attention as any other aspect that involves keeping everyone safe.

Most workplace accidents are entirely preventable, including fires, and it only takes a moment out of your workday to identify fire hazards and remove them. To improve safety in the workplace, you should:

  • Ensure fire safety equipment is available
  • Train your employees in fire safety and using equipment
  • Keep the workplace clean and organised
  • Conduct regular risk assessments
  • Replace any faulty electrical equipment
  • Have at least one fire warden in the workplace
  • Create an escape plan
  • Make sure there is proper signage for a fire
  • Keep all fire exits clear

How often should a fire risk assessment be conducted?

As an employer or manager of the workplace, you will be responsible for maintaining safety for everyone working on-site. Although there is no legal period for how often you should conduct these, we recommend you do it at least annually. You are legally obligated to keep a written record of your fire risk assessments if you work with five or more people.

There are five key steps to follow, which involve the inspection of the premises, the preventative measures in place, the fire protection, and the employees.

Step 1: Identify fire hazards

Inspect the building for any potential fire hazards that could be present. You will be expected to consider:

  • The state of electrical equipment
  • Cooking appliances
  • No-smoking rules
  • The quality of heating equipment
  • Measures against arson

Step 2: Who is at risk?

Identify all the people on the premises, and make note of anyone who may be young, disabled, or a lone worker.

Step 3: Evaluate, remove, and reduce risks

Make note of:

  • The number of floors
  • The number of staircases
  • The location and number of fire exits
  • Identify fire alarms, exit signs, emergency lighters, and fire extinguishers

Step 4: Record and plan

Create a plan about what changes you need to make and how you will assist your staff in understanding the new changes.

Step 5: Review

Review this new plan and proposed changes with your staff before implementing it.
