- Set up sandbags, flood barriers, or air brick coverings to protect the property
- Keep an eye out for flood alerts
Severe flood warning
- Follow any evacuation orders from the local government
- Bring an emergency kit with you that contains a torch, batteries, mobile phone, charger, warm clothing, essential phone numbers, water, food, a first aid kit, medication, and infant care supplies (if necessary)
- Notify your neighbours or fellow renters
- Avoid driving or walking in floodwater
- Make sure no one is near the floodwaters
- In case you touch floodwater, wash your skin

How to act after a flood
